FIRST PUC CLASSES TO BEGIN FROM JUNE 9
Bangalore,(KCU)- The classes for first PUC for the academic year 2008-2009 will commence from June 9.
The Department of PU Education has prepared a calendar of events for the admission process to first PUC applicable to only the current academic year.
Permission has been granted to PU colleges to reserve 5 per cent of the seats for students of CBSE, ICSE and such courses equivalent to 10th standard, the results of which might be delayed.
Private colleges should admit students only to permitted disciplines. If seats remain vacant even after the completion of the calendar of events, the colleges can fill up the vacancies by distributing fresh applica-tions, according to S.G. Hegde, Commissioner, Department of PU Education.
Calendar of events
May 12: Last day to issue application forms.
May 15: Last day to receive filled applications.
May 20: Announcement of merit list of students category-wise in descending order of marks scored.
May 23: Announcement of selected list of students.
May 27: Last day to pay the fees for students selected in the first list.
May 29: Announcement of second list of selected students.
June 2: Last day to pay the fees for students selected in second list.
June 4: Announcement of third list of selected students.
June 7: Last day to pay fees for students selected in third list.
June 9: Announcement of list of admitted students category-wise indicating the final cut-off percentage.
