BANGALORE: For 1,14,357 students across the State, the wait will finally be over on Saturday.
The Common Entrance Test (CET) 2008 results will be announced at all the 218 examination centres after 1 p.m.. Results will be available online and over phone from noon and will be officially released on the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) premises.
Though evaluation was completed on time, the results which were scheduled to be released on May 14 were delayed as the KEA was waiting for the Central Board of Secondary Education and the Indian School Certificate Examination Board to announce their 12th standard results.
Nearly 10,000 more students took the CET this time compared with last year, and 16 additional centres were introduced.
Last year 1,990 seats in medical colleges, 850 seats in dental Colleges and 32,200 seats engineering colleges were on offer.
The number of engineering seats is likely to go up this year as several institutions have applied for All India Council for Technical Education recognition. (hindu.com)
