Gone are the days of showing up hours late to gigs and stumbling through set lists incoherently! Amy Winehouse spent the weekend redeeming herself as one of the UK’s top female performers.The “Rehab” singer delighted fans at Ireland’s Oxygen festival by showing up just a few minutes past her scheduled stage time before nailing her entire performance. She even dedicated “Wake Up Alone” to her incarcerated hubby Blake Fielder-Civil.
Amy told the audience, “This one’s for Blakey. He’s out in nine days.” Perhaps the fact that she’ll be reunited with her husband has brought new life into the troubled singer.
The next day, Winehouse showed up as scheduled at Scotland’s T in the Park festival, once again delivering a grade-A performance. She also reaffirmed that her man was coming home soon before finishing off her 14-song set with a rousing rendition of “Valerie.”
